Description of Controller
'
- The controller is USB class compliant, plug and play on Mac and PC.
- There are 3 long 100mm Bourns faders which give very fine control.
- It has an attractive stainless steel top panel and comes with a standard USB A connector. I can fit USB C if desired.
- USB cable plugs in internally so it can be replaced if necessary or changed for a longer or different type in the future.
- Its compact size 165x71x25mm and non slip feet make it ideal when placed next to your keyboard.
- Compact efficient code for reliable drop out free operation.
- As standard, it will come programmed with CC 11,1,21 to control expression, dynamics and vibrato in Spitfire instruments.
- Tested on the latest Apple silicon Macbook Air with USB C connector.

Set up advice
The ExC-3 appears as a Class compliant (No drivers required) Midi keyboard in your DAW. Please don't connect as a Control surface.
When you plug in the controller it will appear as Opendeck | Pico .
You might also have to enable the Midi in Kontakt if you are using it.

Troubleshooting
If you have any trouble setting up your ExC3, the first thing to check is whether the controller is working in a Midi monitor.
Either install and run a Midi monitor as described in this link. Midi Monitor
Or use the MIDI Monitor built into the ExC-3 configurator. Follow the instructions on this page to the bottom where you wil find details of the Midi activity monitor.
Once you have established it is working in the Midi Monitor you need to move back to configuring your DAW .
Re-Programming the controller
Should you wish to change from the default CC settings please use the link below for programming instructions.
