Description of Controller
'
- The controller is USB class compliant, plug and play on Mac and PC.
- There are 3 long 100mm Bourns faders which give very fine control.
- It has an attractive stainless steel top panel and comes with a standard USB A connector. I can fit USB C if desired.
- USB cable plugs in internally so it can be replaced if necessary or changed for a longer or different type in the future.
- Its compact size 165x71x25mm and non slip feet make it ideal when placed next to your keyboard.
- Compact efficient code for reliable drop out free operation.
- As standard, it will come programmed with CC 11,1,21 to control expression, dynamics and vibrato in Spitfire instruments.
- Tested on the latest Apple silicon Macbook Air with USB C connector.
- The controller has been used with:-
- Spitfire in Reaper on a PC.
- Spitfire in Logic on Mac
- Cakewalk by bandlab
- Cubase on PC and Mac
- Protools on Mac and PC
- Studio One on PC
- If necessary you can also program it to your choice of CC numbers and Midi Channel with the Menu.
There are two versions of the Controller depending on availability of Microcontrollers the performance of both is the same.
When you plug in the controller it will appear as either Teensy Midi or Opendeck | Pico .

Set up advice
Set up the ExC-3 as a Midi keyboard and not a Control surface in your DAW.
You might also have to enable the Midi in Kontakt if you are using it.
If you have any trouble setting up your ExC3, the first thing to try is download a MIDI Monitor to see if your computer is receiving the Midi signal.
The ExC3 will appear as TeensyMidi or Opendeck | Pico in your computer.
Once you have established it is working in the Midi Monitor you need to move on to configuring your DAW .
Find your DAW in the link below.
Hopefully these steps will get you going.
